How do random recommendations work?

You can enable random recommendations, which are especially useful if your store doesn't have enough sales to build automatic recommendations, or you don't configure global recommendations or manual bundles.

To enable them, go to the Bundle tuning section:

By default, random recommendations are completely random so the recommendations displayed won't follow any logic and may be completely unrelated to the current product. However, we do offer 4 types of filtering options for you to try to recommend more related products. This options are:

  • Filter by manual collection
  • Filter by product type
  • Filter by product vendor
  • Filter by tag

Random recommendations are always displayed at the end of your recommendations so it's OK to have them always enabled as all the other recommendations you have enabled (manual, automatic, and global) will be displayed before them.
