Is Also Bought compatible with product customisation apps?

Also Bought can show a variant selector for the variants of your products as long as they are configured as standard Shopify variants.

However, if you are using a third-party app to offer custom options to your products, such as adding images or text, it won’t be supported by Frequently Bought Together. This is because all the information displayed in our app is gathered from the Shopify API, and if the custom options are stored in the third-party app's servers we don’t have access to this information.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to exclude these products, you can hide the “Add to cart” button from the widget. Customers will be able to see the customised products in the app, and by clicking on them will be redirected to the product page where they will be able to add the custom options.

Please, bear in mind that if you don’t choose any of these options, whenever a customer adds a product to the cart using our app it won’t include any custom option and you might have to contact your customer afterwards.
