Which recommendation algorithms does Frequently Bought Together offer?

Frequently Bought Together features two different types of recommendation algorithms depending on how you want to use the app in your store (e.g., some stores focus on creating manual bundles, while others prefer to rely on automatic recommendations):

Standard algorithm

With the 'standard' algorithm, recommendations for all products will be filled with manual, automatic, global and random recommendations (if they are configured and available). This is the algorithm which is enabled by default.

Exclusive manual bundles algorithm

With the 'exclusive manual bundles' algorithm, manual bundles display only manual recommendations (i.e., automatic, global, and random recommendations won't be added to manual bundles). Please note that products not configured in the manual bundles' section will still show automatic, global, and random recommendations.

Configuration

If you want to change the recommendation algorithm, click on the Recommendation tuning section:

There you will find the option to choose the recommendation algorithm you want:

Please note that if you want Frequently Bought Together to display only manual bundles, you must disable automatic, global, and random recommendations, regardless of the chosen algorithm.
