Can we place the Frequently Bought Together widget on the shopping cart page?
Yes. Since the cart page widget was released, Frequently Bought Together can display recommendations on the shopping cart page, not only on product pages.
It works a little differently from the product page widget. On a product page the app recommends products that go together with the current product, the way Amazon's widget does. There is no current product on the cart page, so the cart widget uses global and random recommendations instead — manual bundles and automatic recommendations are not taken into account there.
To enable it:
- Turn on the Cart page widget switch on the app home page. It is available on the Professional plan.
- Go to Cart page position and choose where it goes: adding the app block from the Shopify theme editor (recommended, it gives you full control over the placement) or pointing the widget to a CSS selector of your cart page.
