How do the viewed buttons analytics work?
This metric displays the number of buttons that have appeared on your customers' computer screens.
Rendered vs. Viewed Although buttons are technically created (rendered) in the widget every time the page loads, they are not counted in this metric until they enter the visible part of the page (for example, when the user scrolls down).
Counting Rules
- Once per page load: A specific button is counted as "viewed" the moment it enters the screen, but only once per visit. Scrolling the same button in and out of view does not increase the count.
- Page Reloads: If the page is reloaded, the counters reset. If the button becomes visible again, it will be counted as a new view.
- Repetitions: Duplicates are not excluded. A button is counted as many times as it is displayed. If you have duplicated products on the page, each instance is counted separately.
⚠️ Important Notes
- User Attention: This metric tracks if the button appeared in the visible screen area. It does not guarantee that the customer consciously looked at it.
- Technical Definition: A button is considered "viewed" when it totally fits inside the browser viewport (the visible area of the page). This counts even if the button happens to be visually hidden by other elements, such as pop-ups or overlays.
