How does Frequently Bought Together compare to your other app Also Bought?
Although both apps display product recommendations they have a slightly different intention.
We like to think of Frequently Bought Together as an upselling app, i.e., once your customer has decided to purchase one of your products, Frequently Bought Together can increase the purchase amount by offering the customer some complements or accessories for that product.
On the other hand, we like to think of Also Bought as a cross-selling app that make your customers aware of other different products in your store. So they may be just viewing one product and, through the Also Bought recommendations, discover a different product that they like more, increasing the likelihood of a purchase.
