Is the app widget layout customisable?

The widget layout is hard-coded and cannot be modified easily. 

Please note that there are two different layouts, one for desktops and another for mobile devices:

Although the layout cannot be changed, the styles are fully configurable, so things such as colours, fonts, sizes, or borders can be adjusted.
