How is the stats data gathered?

Also Bought provides insightful stats on how the app is performing in your store.

You can use the stats to decide how to make the most of the app, for example, by changing its position in the product pages, or tuning the recommendations displayed or enabling the discount module.

However, please don't take the values as exact values: the module displays inferred statistical values, not exact figures. The stats are more useful to discover trends or to compare the performance with previous periods.

The stats are gathered using Javascript calls to our servers. If for some reason these Javascript calls fail, the stats may be inaccurate. For example, some browsers have an option called " Do not track" or an antivirus software may be installed and block the data. On the other hand, other browsers may do Javascript calls in order to cache data in anticipation of the customer's behavior.

However, that does not invalidate the statistical value of the data, as the Javascript calls will work as expected in a considerable percentage of the browsers.

As the stats data are gathered at the moment of the purchase they include canceled orders. Order modifications are not taken into account.

The amounts displayed do not include discounts or shipping costs. They include taxes.
