Is Frequently Bought Together compatible with product customisation apps?
Frequently Bought Together shows a variant selector for the variants of your products as long as they are configured as standard Shopify variants.
However, if you are using a third-party app to offer custom options to your products, such as adding images or text, it won’t be supported by Frequently Bought Together. This is because all the information displayed in our app is gathered from the Shopify API, and if the custom options are stored in the third-party app's servers we don’t have access to this information.
If you have only some products that require custom options, you can disable our app widget from the mentioned products and exclude them from being recommended as well.

Please, bear in mind that if you don’t exclude these products, whenever a customer adds a product to the cart using our app it won’t include any custom option and you might have to contact your customer afterwards.
