How the analytics data are gathered?

Frequently Bought Together provides insightful analytics on how the app is performing in your store.

You can use the analytics to decide how to make the most of the app, for example, by changing its position in the product pages, or tuning the recommendations displayed or enabling the discount module.

However, please don't take the values as exact values: the module displays inferred statistical values, not exact figures. The analytics are more useful to discover trends or to compare the performance with previous periods.

The analytics are gathered using JavaScript calls to our servers. If for some reason these JavaScript calls fail, the analytics may be inaccurate. For example, some browsers have an option called "Do not track" or antivirus software may be installed and block the data. On the other hand, other browsers may do JavaScript calls in order to cache data in anticipation of customer behavior.

However, that does not invalidate the statistical value of the data, as the JavaScript calls will work as expected in a considerable percentage of the browsers.

As the analytics data are gathered at the moment of the purchase they include cancelled orders. Order modifications are not taken into account.

The amounts displayed do not include discounts or shipping costs. They include taxes.
